COMMUNICATION

The pack uses Scouttrack as its primary tool for communication within the pack. Scouttrack is online software that can be accessed at www.scouttrack.com. Each user has a unique login and password that allows access to the user's Pack 640 scout's records. The pack uses Scouttrack's calendar function to generate a calendar for pack events and email reminders of pack events. Dens may also choose to use the calendar function to track den events and reminders as well. If you are a new user of Scouttrack, or are experiencing problems with your current login information, please let your den leader know. He or she can generate an email invitation containing temporary login information that will remedy both situations. New users should monitor and adjust junk mail folders/filters if Scouttrack emails are being filtered out of your incoming email.

ADVANCEMENT TRACKING

The pack's advancement chairperson also uses Scouttrack to track and purchase earned awards each month for our scouts. Please help your den leader by ensuring your scout's Scouttrack achievement records are up to date by the second Thursday of every month. When entering achievement information for your scout pertaining to an award that must be purchased (like a beltloop or a pin), please pay special attention to the date you enter for when the award was earned. If you expect a particular award to be given at the next pack meeting, the "earned" date you enter in Scouttrack for that award must fall AFTER the second Thursday of the previous month in order for the award to appear on the reports generated to purchase the awards for that month. This applies regardless of when the award was actually earned.
